French President Emmanuel Macron, the esteemed chief guest at Delhi's 75th Republic Day celebrations, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome bestowed upon him. 

In a heartfelt social media post, he extended an inviting hand to Indians, urging them to partake in France's vibrant events throughout the year.

In his post, Macron acknowledged the warmth received in Jaipur and Delhi, showcasing his appreciation for the Indian hospitality. This laid the foundation for a harmonious exchange between nations.


An Open Invitation :

Macron, extending an open invitation, urged Indians to join France in commemorating significant events. 

Notable among them are the Second World War commemoration, the eagerly awaited Summer Olympics commencing on July 26, the Paralympic games in Paris, and the Francophonie summit. With a friendly tone, he exclaimed, "You are welcome, our friends!"


Spiritual Sojourn : 

During his visit, Macron, accompanied by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, embarked on a spiritual journey to Delhi's Dargah Nizamuddin Aulia, the revered mausoleum of Sufi saint Khwaja Nizamuddin Aulia. 

The French President immersed himself in the rich Sufi culture, capturing the essence of India's spiritual heritage.


Symbolic Republic Day Celebrations : 

As the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations, Macron participated in the historic Kartavya Path event. 

President Droupadi Murmu welcomed him at Rashtrapati Bhavan, emphasizing the historical significance of both countries being guests of honor in each other's National Day parades—an embodiment of enduring friendship and robust partnership.


Bilateral Talks in Jaipur : 

Macron's visit to Jaipur included pivotal discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing bilateral ties and global concerns. 

Expressing "grave concerns" about potential conflicts in the Middle East, including the Red Sea, the leaders issued a joint statement underscoring the importance of freedom of navigation and adherence to international maritime laws.


Coordinated Efforts : 

The joint statement highlighted the detailed conversations between Modi and Macron, emphasizing coordinated efforts in the region. 

Upholding freedom of navigation in the Red Sea emerged as a shared priority, reinforcing the commitment to respecting international laws.
