The 75th Republic Day celebrations on Kartavya Path have an esteemed guest – French President Emmanuel Macron. 

The theme revolves around projecting the strength of India's women and democratic values, creating a splendid spectacle.


Strengthening Ties : 

During President Macron's visit, Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra announced significant collaborations between India and France. 

These include the operational readiness of the Indian consulate in Marseille and the French bureau in Hyderabad. 

Additionally, plans for a solar academy in Senegal under the International Solar Alliance were unveiled.


MoU for Space Cooperation :

An important memorandum of understanding (MoU) was sealed between New Space India Ltd and France's Arianespace for satellite launch cooperation. 

This underscores the robust support France provides to India, strengthening ties in space exploration.


Grand Celebrations : 

The official Republic Day program at Kartavya Path commenced with the unfurling of the tricolour by President Droupadi Murmu. 

A spectacular performance featuring 1,500 dancers showcased the message of unity in diversity. 

The event also highlighted the military might of India's armed forces, aligning with the overarching themes of 'Nari Shakti' and 'Atmanirbharta' (self-reliance).
