An electroencephalogram (EEG) was used to track the subjects' brain activity both before and after treatment.


The outcomes were astounding. When stimulated, those whose brain activity was lower during maths tests significantly improved. 

The math experts and the placebo groups, however, did not show any discernible improvement.
